Stuart and Daphne were telling me jokes this morning.
Daphne's earned the "Good Effort" award:
"What did the mailbox say to the road? Because there was a car coming!"
"What did the cow and pig say to the horse? Because they were hungry!"
Stuart's earned the "Most Surreal" award:
"What did the cow say to the horse? Are you a fish, because I am!"
"Why did the computer jump off the spice rack? Because it was a T.V.!"
All these, and many more, were performed for an audience who wasn't exactly enthusiastic, but was stuck in a chair nursing a baby.

We have had many similar jokes in our family over the years--the most consistant being Issac's inability to understand the makings of a funny joke:
Knock knock
Who's there
orange (or any other random things possibly heard in a knock knock joke previously)
orange who?
orange wearing pajamas (in his jokes, evertything from knock knock to why did the blank balank--the answer is always something to do with road or pajamas and NEVER makes any sense.
On the other hands, after years of practice the girls are finally figuring out how to make their own, rather humorous, jokes.
It's just payback, you know. :)
Stuart's jokes are just what I needed this morning...it's those knock knock jokes that kill me because it is harder to just feign interest. You actually have to interact!
Terrific retention, I have to say...
Well, you have to remember these things so you can blog them, oh and also so you don't forget the precious memory.

Wow. My favorite part is the description of the audience.
